Step-by-Step Demonstration Guide
1. Introduce the apps
Describe Google Translate, DeepL, and Microsoft Translator.
Show where to find and install them via App Store or Google Play.
2. Demonstrate installation
Walk through downloading an app on a phone or opening a site in a browser.
3. Translate written text
Choose “From: language of your choice” and “To: Your Native Language.”
Paste or type a sentence.
Listen to the translated version
4. Demonstrate website translation (via Google Translate)
Open Google Translate
Paste a website URL (e.g., https://yle.fi) into the left box
Select the target language
Click the translated link on the right — it opens the full website in the chosen language
5. Translate entire webpage directly in the browser
Open a webpage in a browser like Google Chrome
Right-click anywhere on the page
Select “Translate to [Language]” from the menu
The whole page will automatically be translated
You can also click the Google Translate icon in the address bar if it appears
This method is very useful for quick browsing in your preferred language
6. Optional features
Demonstrate speaking, handwriting, or camera input in mobile apps
Try translating a restaurant menu, sign, or document using the camera
