Best uses of mobile devices and computers

est. 90 min

 💡 After this training:

  • The learner can identify and select the appropriate device (e.g. computer, tablet, phone).

👀 How to coordinate this training:

  1. Getting familiar with the topic as a whole group

Begin by asking: “What do you usually use your phone for? What about a computer?”

You can also share your examples from their work, study, or family life to make it relevant. You could also show the same task (e.g., sending an email, applying for a job, Google Maps or mobile applications that are available as a browser version) on both devices.

Depending on the learners' engagement and skill level, you can go directly to step 2 or continue the discussion as a whole group.

  1. Discussion in a pair or a small group

Discuss and list three things that are easier on a mobile device and three things that are easier on a computer.  Write down the options on the sticky notes.

  1. Discussion as a whole group

Go through the groups' discussion results. Categorise the sticky notes into similar answers, e.g. on the wall, flipboard.
